Are you looking for the best brunch in Barcelona? If you ask me what my favorite meal of the day is, that would no doubt be brunch! Brunching for me is a celebration of a special day with the food, the people and the places I love. Brunching knows no rules: sweet, savory, healthy bites, cheat treats… it can be so many things. That’s why one of the things I love about Barcelona is how many brunch places there are! Here’s a list of the 25 best brunch restaurants in Barcelona. I hope you enjoy it!
Brunch from around the world… That’s the concept at Tropico, a restaurant that offers fresh, healthy and delicious food inspired in cuisines and ingredients from all over the world. One of my favorite things about Tropico are their smoothies… they’re packed with colors, fruits and superfoods, and they’re a must to go with whatever dish you order! But hey, if you’re not into a smoothie you can always go for fresh coconut water, like the one on the picture.

At The Juice House you can enjoy juices, smoothies, brunch specialties and other tasty dishes with lots of superfoods in a beautifully designed space. Located in the heart of Sant Antoni—one of the best areas to enjoy amazing food in Barcelona—, The Juice House has been around for years now and is always a great go-to place for a Sunday brunch. What I love about The Juice House? Their pancakes and, of course, their juices!
Address: Carrer del Parlament, 12
Eggs, smoothies, pancakes, cakes… If you love eggs for breakfast and brunch like me, you’re gonna love this place. Lately they’re doing themed brunches each weekend –have a special eggs dish inspired in a different country. When you think there are 195 countries in the world, that’s quite a challenge! The Benedict Lab is definitely THE place to be when it comes to enjoying the perfect eggs dish for brunch—that’s their specialty!
Address: Carrer de Sepulveda, 80
Elsa & Fred is like a cozy living room serving all the food you could need for a perfect brunch. But my favorite thing about this place is their patatas bravas, because who said you can’t you have patatas bravas for brunch? Elsa & Fred’s interior and their open-air area is on of my favorite things about this restaurant—starting the day with a brunch in the sun, doing some people-watching in this charming neighborhood is a always a great start of the day!

This cozy café in Poblenou serves some of the most delicious, fruit packed bowls I’ve ever seen—apart from specialty coffee and other healthy or more indulgent dishes, such as their amazingly-looking burgers! The space is bright, simple, and it has a lot of character. Little Fern is definitely a great example of the amazing transformation that has been taking place in Poblenou, this up-and-coming part of the city!

Does it ever happen to you that you see a dish that looks so beautiful that you feel sorry to eat it? That’s definitely the case with the colorful bowls they serve at Panorama. They also offer eggs, veggie bowls and very inviting sweets. I love the fact that they have an open air terrace where you can enjoy your brunch under the sun, because that’s exactly how I like to start my days!

Wait, did you say “house of açai”? Yes, I did! If you’re also a big açai lover like me, then you should definitely pay a visit to Casa do Açai and have the biggest bowl of açai you can get. At Casa do Açai you’ll also find eggs, salads, toasts and other delicious brunch treats. There is also an open-air terrace where you can sit too, if you want to enjoy the sunny day.

Flax & Kale is one of my classic, go-to, feel-good place. They’re extremely popular, and definitely one of the best brunch restaurants anyone in Barcelona thinks of when they think “brunch”. Flax & Kale call themselves a “flexitarian” restaurant, which means they have lots of vegetarian as well as meat and fish options. Some of my all-time favorites at Flax & Kale are their iced smoothies and their toasts, but there is so much to choose from depending on what you’re in the mood for!
Address: Carrer dels Tallers, 74b
Brunch, coffee and healthy options made with local ingredients in a cozy atmosphere. It is possible to eat well right around the corner of Plaza Cataluña! For me, La Esquina is just the right size to take a break from Barcelona’s busy city center, feel cozy, and eat delicious food. After a brunch stop here, you’ll be full of energy and good vibes to continue walking around the heart of the city for the rest of the day!

Milk is one of my all-time favorite spots in the city! I also love the small, cozy atmosphere, which is not that easy to find in this busy and touristy part of Barcelona. If you’re looking for one of the best brunch restaurants in Barcelona and you happen to be in the Gothic Quarter, don’t fall for tourist traps! Instead, go to Milk and give yourself the brunch you deserve. Just keep in mind that, in the weekend, you may have to wait in line.
Address: Carrer d’en Gignàs, 21
Eixampeling Cafe is a popular brunch restaurant located, as its name hints, in the heart of Barcelona’s modernist Eixample neighborhood. This is certainly one of Barcelona’s best brunch restaurants, and it has earned a big popularity thanks to TripAdvisor and word of mouth, so sometimes you might find a queue in the weekend. At Eixampeling Cafe you will enjoy delicious egg dishes with very original names, smoothies, and cakes in a happy and colorful space.
Address: Carrer Diputació, 158
Flora Café opened only last year and I had a chance to visit it when it had recently opened. I loved it! Located near Ciutadella Park, in a very quiet area near the city center, the space is wide and comfortable, with a very pleasant design. At Flora Cafe you’ll find a wide variety of options, from traditional brunch dishes to empanadas, salads, boards of cheese and cold cuts, and my favorite: banana bread French toast!

Eat My Trip is a must for brunch lovers! Their dishes are delicious, colorful and playful—you’ll see what I mean when you order their original bowls and their “cloud-like” pancakes made with cotton candy. At Eat My Trip you’ll find both sweet treats and healthy options, sweet and savory, and that’s one of the things I love about it. When it comes to the best brunch restaurants in Barcelona, Eat My Trip is one of the first places I can think of!

I discovered Les Filles not too long ago, but it quickly became one of my go-to places for brunch, a mid-morning snack, or just coffee. I love their beautifully decorated space, with elegant dark tones and plants, as well as their beautiful open-air terrace. Les Filles has a great personality, it’s conveniently located a few minutes’ walk from Diagonal metro station, and has their own garden where they grow fresh their own fresh ingredients. What’s not to like about a place like this?

You know a place serves good brunch when it had “avocado” in the name—And this is definitely the case at Avocado BCN! You’ll find them at their two locations, one in Parallel area, and a newer restaurant in Eixample, near Universitat. Some of my absolute favorites at Avoca BCN are their smoothies and their “boxes” combining some of the most delicious ingredients (and lots of avocado, of course) in a convenient box.

Juice Dudes is the perfect place for a healthy brunch stop, where you’ll find (of course!) juices, specialty coffee, tea, smoothie bowls, salads, and sandwiches. Granja PetitBo is a modern twist on traditional “granjas”, which were the place to go for breakfast or an afternoon snack. At Petit Bo you’ll find lots of sweet treats and salty delis for brunch and tea time, in a wide space with couches, big windows, and many vintage touches. My favorite dish? Definitely their pancakes!

Last but not least in this list of the best brunch restaurants in Barcelona is Nolita, located in the heart of Poblenou, with its mix of old industrial buildings, offices, hipsters, and locals.
